This is a project we did for the first FirmeCrete® training class. The original was an exposed sea shell finish coating and was my first attempt at creating the Firmecrete® Coating I poured 23 years ago at my parent’s house. 👷♂️ To create a clean transition from existing walkways to a new walkway, we had to get creative.
The original coating was an exposed sea shell finish, but it had cracked in two spots over time. Our team scarified/lowered the original coating to remove the damaged loose coating and repaired the cracks. After prepping the area, we poured a 1/4″ thick exposed aggregate finish using a mix of Standard Grey Firmecrete® blended 1:1 with a 50/50 blend of Ivory Botticino and Gun Metal aggregate. The result is a stunning, durable surface that is both functional and visually impressive. 🔥
We used a top cast #25 surface deactivator/surface retardant and washed the surface 24 hours after pouring. The final step was to seal the surface, ensuring its longevity and durability.
Firmecrete® – high-quality, beautifully lightweight, and versatile. Stay tuned for more updates on our upcoming projects! 🏗️🌟🔥
