At FirmeCrete®, we believe in upgrading your concrete instead of tearing it out. A tree fell on this Pomona College finial, leaving the finial and base in disrepair. We color-matched the existing with FirmeCrete Wall Coating Mix #141, epoxied and pinned the salvageable pieces back together, then scratched in and hand shaped the missing portions with Rapid Set Mortar mix. Once that cured, we applied the FirmeCrete Wall Mix #141 over the scratch coat.

We then cleaned the tree branch stains as much as possible and applied some #141 mix to color tint over the tree residue and applied a custom-blended antiquing stain to age the #141 Mix. Last, we repaired the finial base in place with epoxy and #141 Mix antiqued the base. We then re-installed the finial to the base. We turned this project around in less than 24 hours.
